GAC and Yandex have announced a strategic partnership — GAC vehicles will now be equipped with the “Yandex Auto” platform, specially adapted for the Russian market. The first model to feature this innovation will be the updated all-wheel-drive crossover GS8, which will go on sale in the third quarter of 2025. Drivers will have access to services such as:
- Maps,
- Music,
- Books, and other Yandex features.
All functions can be controlled directly from the multimedia screen — no need to use a smartphone. Synchronization with the Yandex ecosystem via Yandex ID will allow users to always have saved addresses, favorite playlists, and audiobooks at hand. In the future, the list of GAC models with integrated Yandex services will expand, and voice control with the Alice assistant will also be available.
According to GAC representatives, this is an important step toward enhancing comfort and safety: a convenient interface, personalization, and voice control will make trips even more enjoyable and easier.
